Today is Texas Independence Day. Go and listen to some Bob Wills, or Willie Nelson, or Ernest Tubb, or Lightnin' Hopkins, or some other great Texas musician and ponder the many contributions my native state has made to American music.

hey love your blog and thanx for comments for blueskies. I try to put up stuff that has gone onto the back boiler and Jimmie Dale is one of those fantastic voices that if he was out in the main stream would beat Tim MccGraw every time. I think its always a problem if you want fame as you have to compromise and I think the beauty of Jimmie Dale is he hasn't. love the blog as always and visit most days!!!!!!!!!
