Farewell 2006!

And quite a year it was and it just kept being interesting right to the end. As we mourn James Brown, Gerald Ford, and all others, public & private, who may have passed this year, let's look ahead and celebrate that life does indeed go on, with or without us as individuals.

I'll be foregoing the usual New Year's Eve debauchery this year since I plan to get up VERY early on New Year's Day and participate in a bird count in nearby Maryland.

"The lesson which life repeats and constantly enforces is 'look under foot.' You are always nearer the divine and the true sources of your power than you think."—John Burroughs

Hope your New Year is divine and powerful!

I hope the new year brings you good health, plenty of birding and perhaps a few poems for you to share with us.
Cheers!
