A Splendid Undertaking

A new project, designed to demonstrate Washington, D.C.'s significance in the history and current production of American poetry, is about to be launched. A Splendid Wake launches tonight. Its wiki, launched and maintained by the library at George Washington University, promises to be a major resource for information about poets and poetry in Washington. Unfortunately, I must miss the opening celebration, but I was able to add my bio to the wiki. The site is in the very early stages, but there is some information of interest and it will surely grow quickly.

If you are a D.C.-area poet or poetry lover, check out the site and see if you too can make a contribution. For more information of the genesis of this very important project, check out Karen Alenier's blog.

Not Getting Rusty

The latest issue of The Rusty Nail literary journal is out, containing my poem "Assorted Landscapes." The magazine is a publication from Sweatshoppe Press, who published my book Memory and Desire. They do excellent work, are extremely supportive and generous to their authors, and have published my poems in the past. Please support them by following this link and grabbing a copy; the price is quite reasonable.

I also just received word that the very excellent Broadkill Review, which, as you may recall, recently published several poems by my Lovely Friend Naomi, has accepted four of mine for an upcoming issue. Watch this space for details!
