Welcome International Visitors!

I recently acquired a visitor counter from StatCounter. (You might have noticed the "odometer" just above the link list.) It provides much very interesting and very cool info about who visits this blog each day (no personal info, let me hasten to assure you), such as referring site if any and location. It turns out that I'm averaging at least 20 unique visitors each day from all corners of the world. (Hola! Peru and Chile! G'day Eastern Australia! Bonjour, Guten Tag, Hello, etc., Europe, Africa, and North America!) I have nothing against lurking as I do quite a bit of it myself at various sites. But please leave a comment if you're so inclined and tell me where you're located, how you found me, etc.

Many thanks to the very fine blogs which link back to this one!

Innisfree 4 is now online, with my poem and also one from Naomi, along with many others. Be sure to browse around the issue and you'll find much excellent work.

This is my 100th post since the very first one on Sept 13, 2004. I had little idea then what I would be doing, but blogging looked like fun and it was certainly easy. Over these 2-1/2 years and many posts, I have acquired some skills, much knowledge, a vast library of music, and most important, a sense of community that includes a number of men & women I'm delighted to have as friends and acquaintances, even though we have not met. I was even named Time's Person of the Year—admittedly along with countless others.

To celebrate, I offer a revision of my latest poem, again with the invaluable suggestions for "surgery" from Naomi. Incidentally, my relationship with her began not long after this blog did, two things worthy of note and celebration.

Thanks to all my readers for helping to keep me going!

Cirrus clouds drift
across the sky like
lines of verse,
pretty but a bit
vague and slack
in rhythm, though
the image is clear.
Or one could
assemble six into
a hexagram from
the I Ching, perhaps
at the Beginning.

Note: I chose the hexagram from
a random page of the I Ching.

Expanding Links

I added a new music link, copy, right?, an always interesting source for unusual cover songs. I have also expanded the list of poetry & literary blogs; be sure to pay them a visit.

This my 99th post since I began this blog in October 2004. Watch this space for my "centennial"!
